Dr. Matthew Cooper
DC, CF-L2
Co-Founder & Chiropractor
Clinical Focus
Dr. Matthew Cooper grew up in Eugene, Oregon, where he earned his B.S. in Biology and Chemistry at the University of Oregon before earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the University of Western States (formerly Western States Chiropractic College), graduating as valedictorian of his class.
In 2006, Dr. Cooper and Dr. Karis Cooper co-founded what was then BC Chiropractic — building a patient base from the ground up with a single conviction: that patients deserve providers who take the time, deliver results, and treat the whole person. In 2014, the practice moved to its current location and became Cooper Chiropractic Center for Health and Wellness. Twenty-one years later, that founding conviction is still the standard every provider in the clinic is held to.
Dr. Cooper specializes in sports injuries, auto and work injuries, disc conditions, and rehabilitation. He is currently working toward his Syntropy Technique Certification. He is also a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and is pursuing his Diplomate in Chiropractic Neurology — advanced training that expands his ability to assess and treat complex neurological presentations. He has been involved in hundreds of motor vehicle accident cases — providing expert narrative reports and working directly with attorneys and insurance carriers on behalf of patients.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Cooper enjoys spending time with his wife, Dr. Karis, two daughters, and English Cream Retriever, Nordic. He is an avid CrossFitter, snowboarder, and wakeboarder/wakesurfer.
