Prenatal & Postpartum Care

Supporting mother and baby through every stage.

Specialized, certified care through pregnancy, birth preparation, and the postpartum recovery period — gentle, safe, and profoundly effective.

Prenatal Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic care during pregnancy is not a luxury — for many women, it's essential. The rapid growth of the baby creates significant biomechanical demands on the spine and pelvis. A large percentage of pregnant women experience spinal pain, hip discomfort, and pelvic imbalance as a result. Chiropractic care addresses these issues by restoring pelvic balance and spinal alignment — relieving current discomfort and creating the healthiest possible foundation for labor and delivery.

Drs. Matthew Cooper, Karis Cooper, Laura Town, and Alyssa Balducci-Wilson are all members of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). Drs. Karis Cooper, Laura Town, and Alyssa Balducci-Wilson are certified in the Webster Technique — a specific sacral adjustment protocol developed to facilitate pelvic alignment and nervous system function during pregnancy.

Webster Technique

The Webster Technique is a chiropractic analysis and adjustment of the sacrum designed to reduce the effects of sacral subluxation and SI joint dysfunction. By balancing pelvic muscles and ligaments and relieving uterine torsion, it supports the baby's ability to move into the optimal birth position. It is safe throughout pregnancy and is used by thousands of providers worldwide.

Postpartum Recovery

Pregnancy, childbirth, and the postural demands of caring for a newborn take a significant toll on the body. The hormonal changes following birth can result in a compromised nervous system, leading to anxiety, physical discomfort, pelvic imbalance, and muscle strain. Common postpartum presentations include neck pain and headaches, back pain, joint stiffness, wrist and thumb pain, hip and sacroiliac joint imbalance, and pelvic floor dysfunction.

Our providers offer gentle chiropractic adjustments and muscle work specifically geared toward restoring postpartum balance and promoting a smoother recovery. Regular chiropractic care also supports nervous system regulation — improving sleep, reducing anxiety, and supporting immune and hormonal function. When indicated, we provide diastasis recti assessments and facilitate referrals to trusted pelvic floor physical therapy providers in our community.
